No saucer came. The dinosaur never looked up. Nobody’s milk went off. Most of the pictures on this site were made without a camera, by someone who has spent his life behind one.

Unruly Cricket is where Dino Mari tries out what machines can do with images, and what they still can’t. No clients, no briefing, no brochure.

He learned photography on film and worked with it for most of his life. He spent his working years in advertising: consulting, concepts, copy. He has rarely photographed for money. Mostly he photographs what he loves.
